FIATA, in English” International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations”, was founded in Vienna/Austria on 1926. It is a non-government organization, represents today an industry covering approximately 40,000 forwarding and logistics firms, also known as the "Architects of Transport", employing around 8 - 10 million people in 150 countries.
Now, the FIATA World Congress 2006 will be held at Shanghai from 18-21, September and celebrate the 80 th Anniversary of FIATA. China International Freight Forwarders Association is the official host of the Congress.
