Chinese foreign trade increasing

From January to June 2005,China’s gross trading value of import and export is 645 billion US dollars, increased by 23.2% compared with the same period of last year. Among it, the value of Export is 342 billion US dollars, growed up by 32.7%, export went up by 14%, reached 303billion US dollars. The European Unions remains the leading trading partner of China, followed by United States, and Japan. The total Import and Export Value between China and European Unions increased to 100billion US dollars, 23.6% up. The Export to European Union increased by, reached 65.8 billion US dollars, while the import from European Union slightly came up by 1.7%, to 34.2billion US dollars. Sino-Maltese bilateral trade has increased by 6.5%, to 243 million US dollars. The export from China to Malta reached a value of 145 million US dollars, which accounted for a big margin of growth of 42.8%., while the import from Malta to China decreased by 22.8% to 97 million US dollars.
